The route
The route is a starting point. Exact stops, overnight stays and onward arrangements are agreed in your proposal.
Why this journey
Begin in Aït Bouguemez and continue on foot through M’Goun’s valleys. The mountain section follows camps, village landscapes and gorges rather than a summit ascent.
Beyond the trek, the route travels through the southern valleys to Merzouga. A Sahara camp is followed by Aït Ben Haddou and the return through Ounila Valley and Telouet.
Signature moments
Reach the valley via Ouzoud before beginning the trek.
A river route, subject to safe water conditions and an alternative when needed.
Continue from the mountains to a camel ride and Sahara camp.
Day by day
A suggested rhythm to shape together. Where days are grouped, the detailed daily arrangements are developed in your proposal.
Travel via Ouzoud Waterfalls to Aït Bouguemez Valley.
Meet the mountain crew at Agouti and begin walking through farms, villages and valley landscapes.
Continue from Igli n’Tawoute over Tizi n’Ifri, descending into Oulilimt Valley towards Afalfa.
Follow the valley through Tighremt n’Aït Hamed and cultivated terraces to Imin Irkt, near the gorge entrance.
The gorge route involves walking in the river. If water conditions make it unsuitable, an alternative via Tizi n’Aït Hamed may be required. Continue to Aguerzaga.

Leave the trekking crew and travel through the southern valleys and Erfoud to Merzouga. A sunset camel ride leads into the dunes.

After sunrise and the return from camp, travel via Rissani, Alnif and Tazarine to a guided visit of Aït Ben Haddou.

Follow Ounila Valley through Telouet and cross Tizi n’Tichka back to Marrakech.
