Why this journey
Every Moroccan city has its own history and atmosphere. In Tangier and Tetouan, the Mediterranean world feels close. Chefchaouen is shaped by the Rif Mountains, with its blue-painted lanes and slower pace. Fes tells another story through its medina, traditional trades, mosques and places of learning. Farther south, Rabat and Casablanca show how historic Morocco continues alongside the life of modern cities.
I like to build a journey around these differences rather than turn every stop into the same kind of sightseeing visit. We allow two nights in Chefchaouen and two in Fes, so you can enjoy those places properly. Then we connect the Roman site of Volubilis and the imperial city of Meknes with Rabat and the Atlantic coast. This is a private route: your driver, accommodation and local guiding are arranged around your own party.
Signature moments
Spend two nights among the historic streets, mountain views and quieter corners of Chefchaouen.
Understand the old medina through its artisan neighborhoods, architecture and history of learning.
Visit Volubilis and Meknes on the journey south, connecting different chapters of Morocco’s past.
Explore the country’s capital, then complete the journey beside the Atlantic in Casablanca.
Day by day
A suggested rhythm to shape together. Where days are grouped, the detailed daily arrangements are developed in your proposal.
We meet you at Tangier airport, port or an agreed hotel and begin the journey through northern Morocco. If your arrival allows, stop in Tetouan to see how the city's Andalusian heritage appears in its old streets and architecture. We then continue into the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. Settle into your riad and enjoy a first walk through the blue medina. For late arrivals, we prioritize reaching Chefchaouen comfortably.
Spend a full day getting to know Chefchaouen beyond the best-known photographs. Walk its blue-painted lanes, small squares and traditional neighborhoods, with time for local crafts and the mountain views around the town. We can suggest a gentle walk or leave more free time for cafés, photography and the atmosphere of the medina. No shopping stop is compulsory.
Leave Chefchaouen after breakfast and travel south through changing farmland and small towns toward Fes. This is a travel day with suitable rest stops. On arrival, check in to your accommodation and enjoy an introduction to the neighborhood or time to relax before the following day’s guided exploration.
Discover Fes with a licensed local guide. Walk through its historic medina, see traditional artisan quarters and learn about the city's role in Moroccan scholarship, trade and architecture. Visits to monuments depend on their opening hours and visitor-access rules. We adapt the pace to your interests, and we make space for an unhurried lunch and questions along the way.
Travel west to the archaeological site of Volubilis, where Roman remains offer another perspective on Morocco's history. Continue to nearby Meknes, one of the imperial cities, for a selected visit of the historic quarters and architectural landmarks accessible at the time. After lunch or a break, continue to Rabat, Morocco's capital, for the night. The exact number of stops is planned around daylight and traffic.
Explore Rabat's historic landmarks, including the Kasbah of the Udayas and the Hassan Tower area, with time tailored to your interests. We then travel along the Atlantic corridor to Casablanca. Depending on arrival time, enjoy an orientation through the city and its seafront. A visit inside Hassan II Mosque follows its official visitor timetable and requires a separate admission unless included in your final proposal.
Use the final day for any selected Casablanca sights not visited the previous evening, provided your departure time allows. Your private transfer takes you to the agreed airport or hotel. If you have an early flight, we arrange the transfer directly and avoid promising additional sightseeing.
